I really had kind of a lull on my blog towards the middle of last year. I was going over some images and ran across these of my dog I adopted from the local animal shelter last March. These were taken much later, of course. Anyway, we had an unexpected visitor up close by our shed and 'Zoe' wasn't quite sure what to think about it! Here are some of the images I shot. It was sort of funny watching them react for a while, then Zoe kept getting a little more and more comfortable about getting close to the ground hog and I had to take her in the house a minute, so it could go on about it's way. I thought it was caught at first and couldn't get away, but as soon as I took Zoe in and cam back out, it was gone! And we were both glad!!!
Looks like she is saying "I ate too much and now I'm stuck!"
Zoe just checking it out.
I thought it was stuck, or I wouldn't have got so close myself!
Zoe trying to be sloooow and sneaky...
She is telling it to go home.
It was funny, once in awhile, the ground hog would just chatter it's teeth and make a noise at Zoe when she would cross her boundaries!
It surprised her this time! She jumped back fast! lol
...getting pretty brave.
Getting a little too close, it's time to go in the house!
